Since 1995, the only higher education institution in Ukraine that trains teachers, educators, and psychologists prepared to work, among other settings, in educational institutions with instruction in the Hebrew language, as well as the history and traditions of the Jewish people, has been the Private Institution “Institution of Higher Education ‘International Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute ‘Beit-Hana’.” Recognizing the special state-building role of higher education institutions in training future professionals capable of implementing modern educational policy, the Institute strives to remain competitive within the European educational space. It operates democratically on the principles of humanism, justice, and freedom, and fosters the development of individuals in the spirit of respect for and commitment to the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian and Jewish peoples, who live and interact side by side in Ukraine and beyond. The Institute collaborates with leading higher education institutions in Ukraine and maintains joint educational projects with Israeli universities. This undoubtedly contributes to strengthening productive international cooperation, and therefore the Institute’s educational programs are also in demand among international students. Over 29 years of operation, more than 850 preschool educators, primary school teachers, and psychologists have been trained at the International Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute “Beit-Hana.” Its graduates are successfully working within the educational systems of Ukraine, Europe, the United States, and Israel. Since the early stages of hostilities in Ukraine, the International Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute “Beit-Hana” has joined the charitable activities of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine. Assistance with the evacuation of civilians from combat zones, distribution of humanitarian aid to those in difficult circumstances, provision of essential medicines, and delivery of emergency psychological support became priority tasks for a temporarily established unit of the Institute — a call center comprising the rector, faculty members, and staff. United by the Federation’s slogan “Charity Brings Salvation,” we are proud that the International Humanitarian and Pedagogical Institute “Beit-Hana” is involved in providing humanitarian assistance to all those affected by the war in Ukraine. We believe in Victory. Якорь 1 Mission The Institute’s mission is to contribute to the ongoing development of the individual by creating conditions and mechanisms that enable the full identification and enhancement of society’s cultural potential. It focuses on improving approaches to personalized intellectual development, continuously updating tools for personal growth and self-realization in accordance with individual abilities and universal human values. The Institute is also committed to the continuous development and improvement of educational and professional programs aimed at training highly qualified specialists, in line with the quality standards of the European educational space. It seeks to shape the education of the future through the understanding of wisdom and the preservation of the best ethno-cultural traditions. Vision The Institute’s vision is to create conditions for personal goal-setting within project-based, culturally oriented, and collaboratively distributed activities facilitated through education—serving as a guiding force in addressing processes of globalization and regionalization both globally and within Ukraine. It is also focused on developing the professional competencies of future specialists in alignment with the real needs of employers and stakeholders, ensuring targeted professional training and supporting graduate employment. The Institute provides continuous career guidance and consultative support, fostering the ongoing professional growth of educators and psychologists as 21st-century specialists.

  • Academic Integrity | beit-hana

Academic Integrity "Higher education without integrity is merely a piece of paper." — Thomas Jefferson Academic Integrity: The Foundation of Quality Education Academic integrity is a set of ethical principles and standards that must be upheld by all participants in the educational process: students, faculty, researchers, and institutional administration. It ensures honesty, fairness, and accountability in learning and scholarly activity. Principles of Academic Integrity Forms of Academic Integrity Violations How to Uphold Academic Integrity Legal Framework Consequences of Violations Honesty — adherence to truthfulness and avoidance of all forms of deception. Trust — fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and confidence in the integrity of all participants in the educational process. Fairness — equal conditions for all participants, and objectivity in assessment. Responsibility — awareness of the consequences of academic violations. Respect — recognition of intellectual property rights and the contributions of others. Transparency — openness of assessment procedures and public accessibility of academic and research rules. Violations of academic integrity negatively affect the quality of education and trust in the institution. The main forms of misconduct include: Plagiarism — using another person's ideas or text without proper attribution. Fabrication — inventing or falsifying data in research. Cheating — using prohibited materials during tests or examinations. Self-plagiarism — reusing one's own prior work without appropriate citation. Bribery and corruption — obtaining grades or academic advantages through dishonest means. Complete academic assignments independently. Properly format references and citations. Follow citation rules in scholarly and coursework papers. Avoid using prohibited materials during examinations. Respect the intellectual property of other authors. Refuse to participate in corrupt practices Academic integrity is governed by the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education," which establishes the core principles and mechanisms for ensuring educational quality and preventing integrity violations. In accordance with Article 52 of the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education," participants in the educational process at higher education institutions include: academic, academic-pedagogical, and pedagogical staff; higher education students and other persons enrolled at higher education institutions; practicing specialists involved in the educational process within professional degree programs; other staff members of higher education institutions. Educational institutions develop internal academic integrity policies that set out sanctions for violations. These may include: Resubmission of work or re-sitting of an examination. Grade reduction. Expulsion from the institution (in cases of repeated violations). Denial of academic degrees or titles. Revocation of awarded academic degrees or qualification categories. Prohibition from participation in certain bodies or from holding relevant positions. The institution has entered into a cooperation agreement with Plagiat LLC to conduct text similarity checks, including translated similarity detection, access to Refbooks, and AI-generated content verification. Upholding academic integrity is not merely a requirement of the educational process — it is an important step in shaping an individual ready for an honest and responsible professional life. Integrity in learning is the foundation of quality education and a successful future career.
